The Audio
After finishing the lyrics, you’ll have to record an audio of the song or rap in performance. This can be you or someone else. It doesn’t matter, as long as you end up with a good audio recording that you can use. Some students even have Google read their rap (Google doesn’t sing!) and set it to a beat. Difficult, but it can be done.
Some tools that you might use:
- Groovepad App
- YouTube (thousands of beats recorded there)
- Audio Recorder (on your phone)
- SoundCloud (recorder)
Once it’s finished, you’ll need to get your recording onto your computer: Chromebook, PC, MacBook, etc. It doesn’t matter, as long as you get your file there.
Note: If you record the video of the performance, it’s just as good. You can pull the audio out of a video
recording easily.
