The Storyboard
In this step, you’ll create the animation or cartoon sequence of images that creates the visual “story” that will be attached to your lyrics. There are MANY ways to do this:
- StoryJumper, Pixton, Storyboardthat, ToonyTool, and more! There are lots of tools out there that simplify the creation of cartooning. However, they almost always want you to pay to download your finished product. The video tutorial at the top of the page utilizes StoryJumper.
- Google Slides (or any slideshow app)
- Add background images to slides to create “scenes”
- Drop characters onto these slides to create the action. Take a look at these tools to create your characters:
- BitMoji Add-on for Chrome
- Google Image Search (Choose “Transparent” for color)
- Charatoon
- CharacterCreator
- JustSketchMe
Some of these tools don’t give you transparent backgrounds, but those are easy to remove.
